The National Steel Award has its own website: www.nationalestaalprijs.nl
Among other things, the website provides an overview of the participating projects in 2016, 2014, and 2012.
The National Steel Award has existed since 1971 and is issued biennially by Bouwen met Staal.
Construction, modification, or renovation projects using steel in the Netherlands or abroad are eligible for participation. Projects abroad must have at least two Dutch project partners involved.
The project must be completed or used in one of the two years directly preceding the year of the award.
The jury nominates projects in the five categories: utility construction, industrial construction, housing construction, infrastructure, and characteristic steel components. The jury then awards a National Steel Award to a nominee in each category.
The winners will be announced during the National Steel Building Day in October.
